“In IT to Win IT” was FIT Technologies’ mantra for its first foray into Corporate Challenge. With 62 teams in five divisions and 29 independent teams, this was the biggest Corporate Challenge summer to date. FIT competed from June through August in 13 events against 12 tough teams in Division 1.
As rookies, FIT got off to a bit of a slow start, lacking any top-three finishes in the first few events—Softball, Billiards, Kickball and Dodgeball. Heading into Mini Golf in 6th place, the owner gave the teams and coaches a serious pep talk. They responded with an inspirational turnaround and went on to win six consecutive medals, including an undefeated gold in Volleyball.
FIT began the final day of events on August 2nd solidly in 1st place. They pulled off 2nd places in both the 10k Relay and a surprisingly difficult Obstacle Course. The Tug of War team not only won the gold medal but also wowed the crowd with their form and determination. The day was an exciting finish end to a challenging and interesting six weeks of competition. FIT finished the challenge with two undefeated gold medals, five silver, and two bronze.
